E-7 work visa: consultation preparation guide

Organizing your education and experience, the actual role, and employment conditions separately makes the E-7 review much easier.

We look at both the applicant and the hiring company

We do not apply E-7 across the board simply because the purpose is employment. We first organize your current status of stay, the work you plan to do, and the employment conditions, then identify which statuses and procedures to review. Your personal eligibility and your actual readiness to apply are looked at separately.

Applicant information

  • Nationality, current location, and status of stay
  • Degree, major, and the school that awarded it
  • Relevant experience and the work you actually did
  • Preferred work schedule and previous stay/application history

Role & employment conditions

  • The specific work you'll do at the company
  • Whether the employer is confirmed and the contract is signed
  • Contract period, working conditions, and pay stated in the contract
  • The company's industry, business details, and employment-related information

If the terms aren't settled yet

Tell us whether you're looking for an employer, have received a job offer, or have finalized contract terms. We don't treat undecided matters as settled facts; we list the questions to check next. Specific requirements and exceptions are reviewed in the consultation against the latest official materials.

This page does not set uniform standards for education, experience, salary, or employment ratios. The criteria to check can vary by specific status and occupation, and consultation does not guarantee approval.
